Here’s a really useful but simple agency growth hack. Stop taking bad advice from others. If you’re in a workshop or a seminar and some coach is telling you to do things that amount to manipulating your customers or making your employees live in a perpetual state of fear, don’t listen. Ignore them.
Even if everybody else in the room is nodding their heads and going, “yeah, I get it.” Great! You now have a competitive advantage of the other agents in the room because you know what it’s like to be a customer and to be an employee. You know what made you want to give your very best as an employee versus just play it safe and try not to get fired. And you know, as a customer, what makes you want to treat somebody like they’re your trusted advisor versus try to avoid them at all costs.
So just be you do what you know is right and don’t listen to those guys. It doesn’t matter what their reputation is. Watch five years from now, look at the Google reviews of the other agents in that room and see what happens when you treat people that way.
